Bob,
I appreciate your comments and you are right...the more frequent E*TRADE customer should have some advantage or edge. But not to the exclusion of the sometime E*TRADE customer. The question is, "What is fair?"

By the way, the chairman of E*TRADE seems to share the idea of democratization of IPOs. Here's a quote:
"E*OFFERING is another step in our journey toward democratization of the financial services markets," continued Cotsakos. "It means more access to the public financial markets for individuals and a far more cost-effective service model for emerging companies who now can have better control over their most important asset -- their company's shares."

This is from a company press release about a new E*TRADE venture that probably going to change this whole IPO program we are now having fun with.

FWIW, my commissions on etrade year to date total $11,500.00. I haven't got one ipo on etrade this year even though I have applied for all of them. Yes, I'm a platinum Etrade Member and even though I receive advance notice, still can't get them.
