Ah...now I remember SYN (Synsorb Biotech)...

Apologies for being off topic. SYN is engaged in three major areas.

1. Agent to fight e. coli (hamburger disease)...not a huge market, but who knows?

2. Antibiotic induced diarrhea...as stated in their website...metronidazole is the agent of first choice and it is CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP...however, there is a 10-20% failure rate, but then the second drug of choice is oral vancomycin (which is much more expensive), but probably still cheaper than SYN's product.

3. Cancer...seems like everyone's investigating a novel way of fighting cancer these days.

your point is well taken, syb is doing a financing at 2.50 which closes april 15 th, there will be a lid on the stock till then, but i expect a run to the 5 range after that
