I agree. Academy wasn't very good. Zahn's books are excellent. I've heard great things about the X-wing series but I haven't read a one.

Hey gopherbroke, my mom is letting me respond to your comment. I'm 12 and I've read Heir to the Empire. It was cool! I have 85 SW books in all, including 5 comic books, and 2 scripts. I'm on my 34th book now. My favorite is 'Children of the Jedi' by Barbara Hambly. I like Callista. I haven't read Rouge Squadron yet but I will. I became an SW fanatic when I was 10.
