I would agree we could see some tax selling in April that could adversely affect the market. Also, mutual funds on average have done poorly for the 1st quarter, averaging less than 1% return . Small cap mutual funds were down an average of 6 % for the first quarter. When mutual fund investors start receiving their 1st quarter statements in just a few days, expect significant mutual fund redemptions, thus forcing mutual funds to sell stocks to meet these redemptions. Who wants to own mutual funds losing money when one could do better owning Certificate of Deposits. I'm writing myself a note not to be standing in the doorway when these 1st quarter mutual fund statements start arriving in a few days. Maybe this will be the trigger to make the 9 months cycle top happen ( as many are predicting between April 5-9).

Rambo,

According to my read on things, I see a rally coming, especially in the tech sector. But remember this is only my read. We all live and die by our own decisions in the market. So I don't think there is anything wrong in your decision to go to cash. Your actions are being guided by your experience. Which should ultimately be the way we operate in the markets.

Regards,

SO
