Yougang,

I'm sure that Paul will enjoy hearing about the 475 MHz K6-2 after making his comments about K6-2 400 MHz pricing earlier today.

How many people think that Paul owes the thread an apology?

Yougang, K6-III/450 prices have fallen. Pricewatch.com has a best price of $469 but if you click on gigme.com and scroll, you'll find the price is only $388.50. Their K6-III/400 price is just $250 ... also lower than pricewatch.com's best.

Not that it matters much when you can get a retail CeleronA/400 with fan for $157, push it to 450-500MHz, and wait for the forthcoming K7/Coppermine battle to play out.

I'm watching the Cybermax AMD K6-2-475 FOR SALE right now on a TV shopping network. According to my roadmap, this is 2 months EARLY!
1-800-600-8005.

So that makes our process expert "Yousef" wrong again.
Didn't he say AMD couldn't yield, 300, 333, 350, 366, 380, 400, 450 and now 475MHZ chips? I guess AMD isn't a inept as the yo yo thought.

AMD within 25 MHZ of Intel and beats the Celeron 466 (Due April 26th) to market again. AMD must have fixed the speed path problem.

So Paul, I guess AMD is selling the 400s cheap to make way to the 450s and 475s. 400 must be the minimum speed bins they are getting...

The volume of 475 may be small. Thus AMD may be reluctant to announce, but they may wish to sell. If the volume is not high then
maybe large OEMS will not buy.
