DSL, Digital Subscriber Line, and Surfer Mike has got it Big Time. Before you eat your hearts out, it is a modest 384kbs "up and down" as we techno-geeks are fond of saying, but let me just add that I strongly suspect that anything faster would be dangerous to your Web surfing health. I mean 384 just flies!!

JMD,

go back to your bath tub and play with your sticks. You live in the stone age. DSL? Those of us on cable measure speed using the the letter m, not k. For posts like SI, yes, even those from Maurice, are instantaneous, not seconds.

Dear JMD,

If you have a fast line, and think that's a good improvement (and it is), I suggest you get Browsemaster for reading SI. The speed improvements - posts you can read per minute - is amazing.

And, you might try a few web radio stations to listen to, while you're reading. Come through great at speed ...
