OT: are you using trader status for taxes, and if so, do you have any view as to the pro's and con's of mark-to-market .VS cash accounting?? Gaurdian I'm one of those people who pays a CPA monthly to keep up with my business numbers and personal finance. I really don't get involved in the accounting procedures that the firm uses so I am not qualified to answer that particular question. you mentioned taxes and i presume from your posts that your trading is at least profitable. Tax time has become a dreaded time of the year for me as I'm sure it is to most of us......in fact that is probably why I am up so early on a Saturday morning. (April 15th less then 2 weeks away) Last December I sold all my loser stocks and took it all and bought AOL. That one investment is up 171% in a little over 3 months just buy and hold with no options involved.<g> Vendit
