Amazingly, MSFT makes about $350 mill a quarter on selling puts.

- I'm glad they do this. And it works out.

- to me, it's like selling insurance to mutual fund managers. So if the price of MSFT tanks, they have their downsides covered

- and it's a boon to MSFT - who pockets all the premiums & doesn't pay out a dime in insured losses

- To me, this is a much bigger racket than the browser wars.

Whether Microsoft will grow to 1Trillium, 3 Trillium or ...back to 10 B all depends on its business strategy, business models and how they are executed. If everything goes right , sky is the limit, otherwise , the ground is the limit !!!! If you look at GM,
GM is not a single company anymore, it now involved in Financial business, Aerospace , consumer electronics, medical equipment ...etc , you name it !!!
