rrman,

How do you figure the US doesn't pay is UN dues?? Does the UN reimburse the US for all of that military equipment and logistical support we provide for peace-keeping missions??

NO...

Did we provide a nice little building for the UN to work in? (I believe NYC or the US still subsidizes that building).

Talk to those ethnic Albanians who are streaming across the borders of Kosovo about death, misery, disease, and devastation.

They aren't exactly fleeing because US soldiers are burning down their homes, stripping them of their identification papers, and killing anyone who resists.

So are we the bad guys in Yugoslavia??

Or do our actions represent the naieve belief by our current leadership that bombing can adjust the attitudes of petty dictators looking to manipulate nationalist sentiments of their people in order to retain power.

Who "made" Milosevic? Were we "tight" with him as you say we were with Hussein?

What would have the world do about what's going on in the Balkans, rrman?

What would Chomsky do?

Regards,

Ron
