We have proven irrefutably over the last forty years that you can't fight for someone else's freedom. What we can do is even up the odds a bit. Altruistic motives aside, every so often there is someone (or in this case, Serbia) that is in desperate need of an ass whipping. What good is it being the biggest, meanest sonofabitch in the valley if we don't seize the opportunity to deliver that much deserved ass whipping? So, without trying to read too much into this, even if we don't accomplish anything else, as least we have the satisfaction of knowing that we've sent a few Serbian death squads home to meet their maker.
