carl, i heard that same junk last year when mu was rolling in the losses and selling below production cost and the us doc said that many competitors weren't dumping - the clear meaning - from an agency that actually saw the numbers - was that may of mu's competitors were a lot more efficient and had lower production costs.

after mu runs out of money and needs another $2 billion, who is going to ante that up next time? especially with pc units nearly flat now and the fourth largest american pc mfr and one of the fastest growing pc mfr in the world NOT ADDING ANY EXTRA DRAM TO THEIR BOXES THIS YEAR AND EVERYONE ELSE EXPECTED TO COMPETE WITH THEM?

your $5 figure sounds arbitrary. please explain the supply and demand dynamics that will sustain that level with bit growth well over 1005 and bit demand about 50% (maybe...)
