JP, I am glad that you have internalized the news factor on stocks. To reiterate, news of any kind is good. For example: Three soldiers get taken prisioner. Wall Street Reaction: indexes go up in anticipation of their release. Soldiers get set to go on trial. Wall Street Reaction: indexes go up in anticipation of a settlement. Soldiers get convicted and sentenced to death. Wall Street Reaction: indexes go up because now we have resolution. or Soldiers get released. Wall Street Reaction: indexes go up because we now have resolution. Feel free to use this little example with other bits of news. Such as IBM loses $1bill. Reaction? IBM goes up in anticipation of reversal of losses.
