I agree with your post and the basic fact is that Windows95,98 was never intended to be a networked OS. It really does not belong on the Internet until they address the issue of security. Annoying viruses are one thing but think of industrial espionage, etc. It would be interesting to see just how much private data one could get off of people's PC's through the internet. This is not a issue to be taken lightly for sure.
