Rick and all,

CU Installs Kiosk Using Finger Imaging ID

{excerpts}In January, we reported Houston Metro Empl. Fed. Credit Union installed finger imaging identification at teller workstations. "Members love the added security the technology offers," said Barbara Harris, credit union President. Ms. Harris spoke to a packed audience about their system at the recent NAFCU Technology 98 conference in Los Angeles.

Earlier last year, Purdue Employees Fed. CU became the first financial institution in the country to use finger imaging biometrics to identify members. The credit union is located in West Lafayette, Indiana (Wasn't this an IDX hardware NRI software program?)

(Bob & Sheldon)
All three credit union use the technology supplied by The National Registry of Tampa, Florida. For more information on biometric identification systems for your credit union, contact Bill Rogers at Credit Union tech-talk at (800) 745-2455.

Remember that Ring Fever article from last year? The IDX connection is referenced here. I think IDX was an information resource for that article.
