enjoy reading your posts.

i am not a sophisticated (educated) investor. i am 'long' vrts & lgto. also ntap and emc.

but i agree with you. doesn't make sense that vrts is spreading the rumors- that was the story from a lgto source last time.

however, will tell you that as of this morning, the lgto source is still saying vrts is spreading rumors. the source downplayed the rumors by stating there will be duplicity of jobs with the recent mergers, and as a result, people will leave.

if there were a lot of sales people leaving lgto, it would be well known and the stock would be a lot lower.

the latest piece of 'news' to circulate the office was thestreet.com
ditty on lgto. bottom line there was lgto should be closer in price to vrts- they have the same mkt cap etc. 12 month target price for lgto was around 90, i think. vrts was 98.

on this, we bt more lgto.

my only observation is obviously from a 'clerical' perspective: it used to be there would be a lot of buying before the earnings and the stock would really spike up. haven't seen this the last 2 quarters.

what the heck is going on? street doesn't like the mergers? or is lgto becoming larger and doesn't have the 'zip' or sexiness of a smaller company able to earn 50%.
