I may be a little late in getting to you about drilling a hole in your monitor.. I;ve been tooo busy at work to read important SI msgs.
DON'T use a 1/4" bit. Yu should make several small holes.. Large holes and too many of the bytes from your screen will drain out. Plus, if if the color bytes leak out you will end up with a monochrome screen view and worse than that.. The color bytes will be all over your desk and clothes etc. They are VERY hard to clean up and get back into the monitor.
