Chief,

I agree with most of what you have said. I have no problem with anyone who takes a bearish position on this (or any) stock.

The point that I was trying to make was personal attacks do not contribute to anyones position, positive or negative. They only serve to belittle those whose opinions are different than those of the basher. Alot of what GoNorth publishes are IMO personal attacks. If GoNorth would limit his discussion to facts (true or untrue, people need to do their own DD) then I would enjoy reading his posts also, pro or con.

The bottom line, I agree with you. (except when you say I'm wrong, hehehe!)

Everyone has to have their "Last say" no matter how intellectually stupid it is!!

I concur (and, no i'm not trying to get in the "last say")...

I wonder which is the worst of the two evils on this t.bii thread..

(1) Those who actually respond to the petty remarks of the others (we know who you are) or..

(2) Those who can afford to invest in BII and other stocks, pay for a membership in SI, and still can't afford to PAY for their own REAL-TIME QUOTES....

Between the silliness and the RT quotes and oooooh-aaahhs on this thread, it feels like I am the victim here ... I do not have the time to read 300 NEW posts every hour I am not online. I am settling by reading only the last 10 posts or so, and fear I am missing some valuable and important comments by a lot of respectable people on this thread.

How about if I start a new trend.... If you have comments about THIS post, just post me a private message instead and I will respond ... and we will not clutter up this message board.

Good day.
HART

>>I for one still believe in freedom of speech...no matter how stupid or adolescent it gets!<<

Chief,

I believe that these forums provide the participants with the opportunity to conduct a well reasoned debate with others about the merits and potential downsides to their positions on a specific security or investment. I can only speak from my experience as an investor, in that I find these frank and an honest exchanges of ideas to be invaluable. How valuable they are to each individual is proportional to that person's willingness to listen and then possibly act on this information (either to buy, sell, or hold).

I agree with much of what you have said, however, I also would like to add that I believe that there is also a need to challenge and confront any person who crosses the line between truth and lies. Everyone knows that perceptions drive actions. Unfortunately, the fact remains that sometimes those perceptions are based upon either misinformation or conveniently edited versions of the truth.

I also strongly believe that everyone who invests should keep their minds open to the possibility that they may be wrong in their beliefs. F. Scott Fitzgerald was quoted as saying that "The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposed ideas in the mind at the same time, and still retain the ability to function".

In my opinion, the people who are the best investors are the ones who really listen to what is said, and they then combine what they have read with their own due diligence and beliefs. I believe that they then can make decisions that help them to either grow or preserve their capital much more effectively than others who look at the world with a closed mind.

Debating techniques that are not lies, yet are very efficient at inflaming emotions, can be effective techniques someone could use to further a person's point of view. Some of the people (who are classified as either longs or shorts) on this thread are very good at this. Sadly, this forum also provides a unique opportunity for others to spread misinformation and untruths. In my opinion, those individuals should, and must, be taken to task when this occurs. I also believe that some individuals are shameless liars, and their behaviour is borderline slanderous and/or criminal. I would cringe at the thought of holding back and not challenging these individuals due their right of freedom of speech.

I respect your comments, and I have always found you to be totally candid in your actions. Thank you for sharing your insights, and knowledge. I appreciate reading them, and I look forward to reading many more of your posts.

Respectfully yours,

Crazy Canuk
