Rick, thanks for the URL. I had actually been to the site about two weeks ago and had queried the database thru the UK server, but had searched on European Patents (EP) when I did it. I was able read the patent but was unable to save it as a file or print it.

In any case, it was a good read. I found it interesting that the monoclonal antibody patent application is "a continuation, in part, of U.S. Application number 08/918,349 filed 8/26/97."

Thus, they have obviously been working in this area for quite a while. Lockeed isn't the only company to have a "Skunkworks".
