Yeah that Patriot missile glitch was first reported several years back and showed the problem they were having sychronizing their phased array radar systems. As I recall, it was mentioned in context with Y2K where DOD was looking at the date issue as some potential vulnerability.

Another example of how date related problems enter into even current software systems unrelated to Y2K.
