The issue of how ESP options are accounted for, and how some high tech companies use this as a way to cut opex and pump up earnings by extending a majority of compensation through mechanisms which are off the P&L, is an important discussion which any serious investor needs to consider. I am appalled that SI would take action on a valuable post through what is probably a "new automated" anti-spam feature. I guess one should alter at least one word in the title line of each post to "beat the machine"... At least they fixed it right away.
