Taylor Mill:

I see an "opportunist" as one who puts his moist finger in the air to find the current wind direction, then looks for a way to exploit the situation. I doubt they really know (or care?) whether the plans will ever come to full fruition, but focus on how they get their reward at the end. Perhaps what we have here is a case of "opportunism" rather than "entrepeneurial spirit". The thieves that ransacked your home were opportunistic (from our point of view), yet, to their friends, they may have been considered "entrepeneurial". The sad thing is that with public companies, there are too many opportunists and not enough entrepeneurs. (And too many opportunists being called entrepeneurs.) Opportunists tend to "manage the stock" rather than "manage the business". When stockholders focus on the sizzle, rather the steak, they often end up being mullets. Hey, we have all been fried on the pan because we forgot to look at the steak.

Kazahkstan fit the "international junior play" wind that blew hard a couple of years ago. Big, elephant hunting story. As people are now finding out, it takes more than a seismic target or two and a drill bit to build a company. We are now going through the reality phase. Some just catch on sooner than others.

People who believe there is great upside potential in this stock should also look at Abacan and Hurricane (and I am sure there are others), because they too have "great potential". Undercapitalized great potential and $1.50 will get you a good cup of coffee.

When wondering what Razorbak's MO is, perhaps he is trying to help cleanse the market of the flotsam so that we can make way for some new blood. It is just a normal part of the business cycle. The market needs "shorts" just as badly as it needs "longs". It forms a built in "correction system". PAIN (oops, AIPN)needed correcting.
