It's no coincidence.

Peter Zhang in his The New Australian column:

It might just be coincidence but it appears to me that nearly all of those who are willing to cooperate with Chinese officials and unquestioningly accept their statements at face value belong to what you call the sixties generation, otherwise known baby boomers. Incidentally, virtually none of those I know of had degrees in the hard sciences. Anyway, it's just an observation.

Mr. Zhang isn't completely correct. Nearer the truth had he identified it as a large faction within the sixties generation.

fac-tion: a party or group (as within a government) that is often contentious or self-seeking.

FWIW: Traded nearly everything today for S&P puts.

And the right help doesn't mean we need always be kind about it. Also leads to more complicated issues.

And Mr. Zhu, speaking in Washington yesterday, agrees.

"It is not that only friends who say 'yes' to you are good friends," Zhu said. "We believe that maybe the friends who are able to say 'no' to you are the best friends."

All from me for a while, folks.
