Better than the Holy Grail....

If I'd only thought about it Thursday, I'd have posted a better scan that Brooke did, saving her a lot of intellectual effort creating the amazingly sophisticated Holy Grail scan.

While I haven't finished foreward testing it yet, here is Version 1:

output="richerthangates.lust";

if max(I, J, hi) / Cl (0) > K then

println symbol, " BUY ";

endif;

Don't just type this in - you have to pick carefully values of the integers I, J and K and type them in the places shown.

Here are the basic rules:

I should be picked larger than say 3 or 4 to avoid lengthy discussions with visiting SEC attorneys. In no case, use 1 or 2.

To be sporting select J at least a few days larger than I.

K should be a small value, definitely less than 8 in order to keep things sporting. K does not have to be an integer. For example, 3.14159628..... is amusing when used properly.

To take advantage of todays hot IPO market, alternative main statements can be substituted. For example:

If Max (I, J, hi) + 30 > Cl(0)

is best suited for stocks like AMZX, DELL and the newer Internet IPOs in the after market.

Also make sure you have the correct version of software installed. Use of QP3 (soon to be issued by Gary, I'm sure) with it's built in anticipator function is especially helpful. Also W95/98 with 32 bit mode helps in calculating the large values in the Net Worth files you will accumulated.
