Bob is quite bearish and he put a Dow target of 8800 in July.

He commented on AMZN, AOL, DELL, MSFT, YHOO, etc charts

Hello Clint,

>>To be honest with you, for many reasons including lack of
>>participation by a greater crowd, I don't find any satisfaction in
>>posting anymore so I have recently stopped posting as often.

Funny I have noticed that on a number of threads in general on SI. A lot of the original posters have drifted off to parts unknown. It takes a lot of work and focus to post meaningful information. A lot of the threads have become filled with a lot more cheerleading than substance. The original intention of this thread was to post trades so that others would learn from them and to prevent suicide trades. Unfortunately, the thread has not been able to get a critical mass that can keep it going when one of the regulars are away for short periods of time.

I don't know what it takes to get more posters. There is lots to talk about:

- Is the shift into software stocks started by the CA/PLAT merger
short lived or is it the start of the short term rally given the beaten down nature of the group?

-Are we approaching a top for the telecom stocks? The rally lately has been narrowly based on ADCT, TLAB, QCOM. If you believe the rally is an intermediate up trend, what are potential second tier small caps that will benefit?

- Are the pre-warnings on stocks like AMD an indication of weakness for the semiconductor group or is it company specific as in this article

Message 8697211

?

-Given that biotechs are seen as havens for money in a bear market, what companies have potential? We are at the end of the period where a lot of biotech companies present their results at conferences so they should be pulling back. Does any one have any favorites?

-Do the 30 year bonds look over sold? They sure look that way to me.

- In terms of sector rotation where does the money go after the telcom stocks?

- Is anyone buying or shorting stock in advance of earnings releasess?

Those are a just few topics just off the top of my head.

For my part I hope to be back posting on a more regular basis in about 6 weeks. I get to kick my current project out the door for an extended testing phase finally. I am hoping to catch up on my conference call this Q. I have missed a lot the last few months and lack of time has prevented my from doing proper research so my trading has been very restricted.

To the lurkers, there are a lot of diverse styles on this thread as you can see if you have been following this thread for a while. Everyone here has made a least one if not a lot of mistakes, sometime really big ones. The point is to share your trades and your reasons for entering and exiting a trade so that others can benefit and learn for their and your victories and mistakes.

Harry

Clint & thread,

VTSS looking good. Runup before earnings?

As for lack of participation, I like the focus of this thread. Many others get cluttered up with off topic talk and 'flaming' etc. More particiation would be good with focus - but I like the fact that I can come to this thread and easily read all the posts, without spending an hour going through a couple of hundred with only a few worth while.

Clint & all,

hey, you're to young for retirement - we need you here !
Sorry, i don't have much to contribute at the moment. I've been doing some trading but there's just too much going on in the office.
jumped on YHOO today when it cleared the resistance a ~190, holding WCOM and CSCO in expectation of new highs.
The market is absolutely crazy now. i feel they are doing some long-term damage. But as long as it works, i'll try to get my little piece of the cake.
hope to hear from y'all soon :o)

Clint,

what do you think of this market? Naz stalled out? 2600 looks like a temporary ceiling.
