I'm still here, prg, but the regular posters are now hanging out on the raging bull board (www.ragingbull.com), and that's been my primary focus. It works better than Yahoo and you can filter out spam. No cost, so broader participation than SI. Norden has been doing a great job holding the fort down here, though I'm sure it gets lonely.

For some reason the techies that frequent SI just haven't figured VDAT out yet. Oh well I guess that just means more upside potential when they do.

VDAT got mentioned as one of the few players in its market space in several news accounts on Thursday, mostly related to the YHOO/BCST merger and the surging interest in the sector. The first story was on Reuters about 2:30 and the stock moved up about a point and a half on that alone. After the bell it was mentioned on CNBC/Kernan, CNN, and CBS Marketwatch. Someone, I think it was Kernan, actually showed a graph of VDAT and talked about.

From obscurity to a leading company in the hottest sector in about 2 hours. It figures all this would happen at the beginning of a long weekend, with war breaking out to boot. Had the market been open on Friday I would have been almost certain of a decent-sized gap up, and if we're lucky we'll still see one tomorrow. Maybe those that have had time to do their DD will be looking for shares at the open.

As you say, all this in the absence of news. Think where we might be in another week or two if all the rumors turn out to be true and we actually have some big news.....

Happy Easter all,
