I doubt many if any companies will fail outright. What is more likely is that fabs that are currently producing DRAM at .25µ or .28µ unprofitably will be converted to other uses. For example there is a shortage developing at TSM etc. and few wafers are now available for fabless companies who want .25µ wafers. Why take more beating in DRAM if you can make easy money elsewhere? MU is committed to DRAM or die, but other companies have other alternatives.
