OT....Mohan...yes....have visited Thanjavur.and will return...a very special place...the cap stone on the main temple weighs 60 tons.....one solid piece of granite......was put in place by building an earthen ramp 1 + 1/2 miles long that tapered up to the peak of the temple.....after the cap was in place the earth was removed.....there is also an incredible collection of Chola Bronzes there......if you go back....make it a point to see the complex......:)...Tim
