Re: "In my 2 years of observing this thread I have never seen any useful information about AMD's manufacturing, and precious little about their designs. "

What you have seen is dead on accurate predictions about AMD's long term financial results. Here it is again.

More and more Red Ink.

While you guys slap each other on the back about over clocked K6s and invisible K7s you're just whistling past the grave yard. Profits AMDolts, profits are what's missing and that's what is killing AMD. You can't run on empty for long. That little red light has been on for a long time now while the gauge is well below the "E". Maybe you can stuff some foils into the tank with the work "GAS" on them. How many miles do you think that will keep you running?

scum bria - Re: " In my 2 years of observing this thread I have never seen any useful information about AMD's manufacturing, "

Didn't you read Sander's press releases from 1997/1998 about poor yields ?

I believe someone posted them on this thread.

Or how about the 400 MHz Kmart 62 DESIGN PROBLEM that prevented it from reaching 400 MHz ?

Didn't you read Sanders comments on that a FEW times - recently - right on this thread ?
