RJIII you see, the earliest any investor in the public knew that Heartland was going to cancel the shares was late March 31, 1999 when Heartland filed the documentation. Heartland KNEW the shares were going to be no good AT LEAST 10 days prior to that public filing and were still issuing press releases indicating Heartland and NOT that new company.

It appears there may be another class action suit in the future for the "fresh" company as they like to put it.

Due to fresh start reporting on the effective date of reorganization the old common stock will be canceled
and new common stock of the reorganized company will be issued.
This lanuage comes straight from the SEC 10-k form filled march 31,1999
I think the company has some explaining to do
It almost seems as if this is going to be a situation where we might have some nonrecoverables stock on
our hands.
I called today and the CFO was not in I am going to try back monday for sure!
