I see it touched a nerve in you too. 500 Gb/s, indeed. Which architecture? Fiber, maybe. Not HFC. What coding scheme? What nominal distance from the node or headend? What kind of frequency plan, and is this bidirectional or simply one way (using the entire available spectrum of the fiber?) These things occurred to me while I was reading the post too. Curious.

The article mentioned nothing about limits. Green's comments were that there are no limits providing money/demand/technology all converge.
No kidding, very profound.

He was also part of a research group and witnessed the one of the first High-definition TVs... in 1981... The point being, if one of the above 3 factors do not take place, things will go nowhere for a very long time, like they have with HDTV.
