Jay, thanks for those packet cable urls. I've cited the work being done by CableLAbs, including the Packet Cable initiative, many times in this thread, upstream. The fellow you quoted was not off base, if he took into account a radical network rebuild. This would mean replacing existing copper coaxial stubs with fiber to the home. But the notion of obtaining the speeds he cited (500Gbs) to each household, using today's architecture, is pure folly. That was my only point. See my reply to Greg. Frank_C.
