<<If you remember, a few years ago there was a riot in Albania itself. Thousands of refugees crossed Adriatic sea on small boats to Italy. The crime wave in Italy, caused by those people was so overwhelming, that Italians are still shaking, and resisting any idea of hosting Albanian refugees on their soil.>>

Funny, in the early part of the century Americans said the same thing about Italians immigrating to this country... The descendants of those immigrants were not only incredibly successful, but have contributed greatly to their adopted nation. Your statement simply echoes the kind of collective guilt thinking that makes Serbs feel justified in murdering Albanians.

The crime wave in Italy, caused by those people was so overwhelming, that Italians
are still shaking, and resisting any idea of hosting Albanian refugees on their soil.

Since you brought up the crime issue let me tell you what my experience has been with Albanian refugeees in Greece. There have been thousands of refugees that have crossed into Greece and the crime wave has been unprecedented...The jails have been clogged and, as a matter of fact, there have been regular roundup of them and bused into the Albanian border. But it takes just a short amount of time that they get back (there have been instances where they pass the police trucks on the way back to Athens and waving to the cops!).

There have been some horrible unspeakable crimes perpetrated by them...people killed for a quarter!

Now, on a more personal level, my father has had two experiences with them. A lot of these Albanians gather in the main square of villages in agricultural areas (and many of course go to cities) and just wait for people offering them some type of work in Indonesian level wages (sounds familiar?). My father is a retiree with two hobbies, raising some type of birds and gardening. One day he hired two of them to clean up the bird cage. After they were done he paid them and gave them a nice tip (probably it was up to minimum wage US standards). When he got back to the cage he found all birds had their heads missing!! He vowed never again.

Just last week the vacation home we have by a beach resort was burglarized...You see, there were so many burglaries around there, that he takes everything back to the main home in the city. But he left a small tractor he uses for the ground (sorry I am not up with agricultural terms). Well it was gone...and not found yet. If it is found i am sure it will not be usable.

The public opinion, after the initial short lived welcome, is" WE DON'T WANT THEM, NOT IN OUR YARD"...

So nuke Blair told me he's got a nice place reserved next door to you.

And now please hold the racist accusations, my family is multiethnic. And remember I was the one who proposed green cards and jobs as the solution, let's see if the US govt is that "compassionate"
