Agree with you totally on that.

This was a dirty little conflict that other regional powers had steered clear of. In places like Nicaragua and Grenada, we at least had a legitimate interest, because Soviet military hardware was being brought into the region. Who is to say that Russia doesn't have an interest in this conflict now, with a NATO bombardment underway? Maybe we will bomb their forces next time someplace like Chechnya decides they want to break away.

We are certainly providing them the encouragement to stick it in the Russian's ear, and every Russian realizes it, especially the Russian minorities who live in those provinces.

Clinton, of course, has considered none of this. He is unstable, selfish, and incredibly egocentric. I am convinced that he did this only because he didn't feel that his big experience as LEADER OF THE MOST IMPORTANT NATION ON EARTH was complete without the opportunity to engage valiantly in some daring and risky military adventure that also gives him a chance to see himself as a great hero.

Weird, isn't it, that when the Americans rebelled against the British and were getting their asses whipped, that some members-to-be of NATO got together to intervene and France financed the "Battle Off the Capes"(deGrasse) and Yorktown (deRochambeau) to win "The Revoluntionary War" for the American independence? I really appreciated that.
