>>US officials said Washington is backing a plan by NATO's supreme commander, US General Wesley K. Clark, to deploy Apache helicopters and a ground-based rocket system in Albania. The new weapons, which have not yet been approved by NATO, are intended to get around the weather problems that have limited airstrikes by planes throughout the last 10 days, forcing the use of a dwindling supply of cruise missiles.<<

Here we go. They are stumbling through this war a day at a time, kluging together a piece here and a piece there, as they go along. This is pathetic. Now we are going to launch rocket attacks from Albania. Presumably, we are going to fly helicopter sorties into Kosovo from there as well.

This is not going to be nearly enough force to deal with the situation at hand, and casualties are going to be one of the likely results. Sending our choppers over enemy territory every day while our troops engage in humanitarian work in Macedonia. Clinton and Albright were just dying for an excuse to start bombing. Well, they got it, and now they have created a mess that they only seem capable of making worse. They were told this would happen, but were too arrogant to listen.

God save and protect our men in uniform from these fools.
