f. - Interesting post. Can't argue with the "best company in the world" line. I work for 'em, and I feel the same way! I sure hope your prediction of INTC owners becoming a lot richer comes to fruition!

f.,

I also bought my first Intel shares 3 1/2 years ago and have added many more since then. The previous split and this one are just the first two for you and I, but to those who bought in the 80's and in the early 90's, this is already a long chain of splits. I must tell you that I am envious of them for having made the investment when they did. I suppose I could have too - BUT I DIDN'T. I will be less envious after the next couple of splits, I'm quite certain.

For those of you who are lurking out there and still sitting on the fence and have yet to buy your first share of Intel, there is no time like the present. The only way to eliminate Intel envy is to become Intel rich.

Barry

Skoobaman,
Don't be fooled, Scumbria can read a chart and see Intel vs AMDs dismal performance. (Not that Intel has set the house on fire the last two years, either). He speaks from an Engineers viewpoint. Looks good on paper but the proof of the pudding is in the volume producing. Something Intel does better than just about anyone in the world.

Long term Intel stockholders have a lot to crow about. Sometimes I wonder why they need be so heavy handed. Compared to AMD investors, at least they have so profit to worry about protecting, I suppose.
