I saw the EP article and the one thing that caught my attention is he claims to have built an automated trading system which can enter orders automatically. I posted a query about this on the thread but no response. If anyone has heard of or had any experience with automated order entry I'd be interested to hear of it.

Hi Keith! Is there any ways to make a slideshow with the MetaStock charts (I bought, you convinced me)? When I use Explorer to filter the stocks, it's a pain having to open the charts found one by one. Using a keystroke to go thru the charts would be perfect. What do you do? TIA

IJ

EDIT: Stupid me. Nevermind, I just found out: You select and open all the charts found and use the arrows at the bottom right to shift from chart to chart. I guess I'll read the manual from now on...

When a stock is on the run, the Canadian stocks are much easier to trade because there is no market maker to trade against. It's all client and pro orders in the computer, getting matched instantly. Also, in Toronto, you can short at the last sale price. Nasdaq should forget the excuse of market makers keeping the market liquid and get on with the job of moving to 100% electronic order entry.
