Wondered when we'd hear from Gorby...how can one ignite something that never "burnt out?"

Without going to in-depth into specifics, other than their nukes, Russia's military is a joke. We suspected it before but when the cold war ended it proved true. Russia's military was in ruins. Their aircraft were horrible at manuevering, their avionics could only target one aircraft at time, they have no spare parts and morale is in the dumper.

As long as we don't press them to nuclear confrontation, there is nothing to fear from them. Most of the hype regarding the Soviet threat was to justify our large military budget at the time that was needed but not to counter them but to keep us ahead of the game with them and to allow for these small forest fires around the globe.
