Another sort of thought while shaving - sort of.

Perhaps rather than too much agony about whether company x is a king or a prince, it might be useful to consider just the gorilla and royalty distinction as a first step at least. For example, IMO Loral and Globalstar are on the way to royalty. Do not expect either to ever be a full fledged gorilla.

Hovever, for those of you who have to swallow hard to consider the gorilla Qualcomm or the royalty Uniphase given their very high PEs (more apparent than real IMO - but so be it), Loral and Globalstar have royalty potential at bargain prices (maybe). They have been brused, battered and otherwise kicked around in the market yet major potential is theirs - perhaps.
