Hello, I am new to this group and maybe someone can help me. I am getting a new computer and i would like to know if there is a way to transfer programs from my old one to the new one. I know I can use the floppy to transfer small files. Thanks
R

OK, I've fooled around with the attrib a little now. Seems like it has ABOUT the same function as the "show all files" option in My Computer\View\Options\View or the equivalent in 98 (I'm back on 95 now, and we're VERY happy together. I uninstalled and re-installed ie4 and SI is working perfectly now).

One file that showed up with attrib that I didn't get with Windows running was the himem.sys file.

So, it doesn't look like it's going to solve the problem, but it sure is fun <g>. I'll report further and at great length when I get more time.

Thanks everyone for all the ideas.
