newswire.ca Camsell Lake NWT Diamond Project -------------------------------- Project operator Winspear Resources Ltd. of Vancouver reports that it obtained 228.9 carats of diamonds from two samples of kimberlite sill material totaling 199.7 dry tonnes on the Haywood Block. Winspear collected the samples near Snap Lake from two pits located approximately 235 metres apart. Of the diamonds obtained, 21 were greater than one carat and the three largest were 10.87 carats, 8.43 carats and 6.03 carats, Winspear reports. Diamond valuations are now underway. No new kimberlite pipes were identified but dike-like kimberlite intercepts up to five metres thick were encountered under Snap Lake. Caustic fusion results are pending. As Aber is not contributing to the $2.7 million Haywood budget for 1998, our interest in the block will be diluted to approximately 32% from 42.7%. On the Athenia Block, drilling encountered no kimberlites. Aber maintained its 45% interest by participating in the $330,000 Athenia program.newswire.ca Camsell Lake NWT Diamond Project -------------------------------- On the Haywood block, (approximately 32% Aber) encouraging results were reported by Vancouver-based project operator Winspear Resources Ltd. from a bulk sample of the NW kimberlite dyke, near Snap Lake. A drill program and several related studies have been initiated with a supplemental budget of up to $1.3 million, for which Aber will pay its share. The drilling is designed to determine the size, shape and continuity of the dyke. If drill results are positive, a larger bulk sample will be scheduled for this coming winter.newswire.ca Camsell Lake NWT Diamond Project -------------------------------- On the Haywood block, (32.24% Aber) encouraging results continue to be reported by Vancouver-based project operator Winspear Resources Ltd. The 1999 budget is now under consideration and a significant increase in spending is anticipated, compared with the $4 million budgeted for 1998. Preliminary results of a mine scoping study by MRDI Canada suggest an on-land, open-pit resource estimated at 670,000 tonnes of kimberlite in a dyke formation, with the potential for an additional, adjacent resource amenable to underground mining. A bulk sample will be obtained to determine the value of the diamonds and additional drilling is required to determine the extent of the kimberlite dyke resource. When did they notify shareholders that they were spending their money on Snap Lake for the Winter 1999 Program?
