RE: LEVL buyout vs. earnings hit.

I seem to remember someone on the this thread figuring the max hit to earnings of the LEVL buyout at something like a penny or two per share. Does anyone out there have this estimate figured?

Let's face it, Intel strategic thinking is probably quite beyond most of us.

IMO, Intel will have very little to worry about in terms of earnings growth near term (next 3 or 4 Quarters)- with Xeon and PIII holding earnings up, 0.18 micron process driving costs lower, AMD melting down, and Merced poised to break new ground in market and profitability.

LEVL is acquired to resume consistent double digit top line growth going into Y2K.
