BGR, I only remember two of my "errors" you have ever pointed out: 1. That Dell did not lose market share from third to fourth quarter. You were wrong. 2. That PC sales were up 3% last year instead of down. Actually, this mistake wasn't really your fault, though you can certainly be criticized for using a 3rd hand source. Reuters reported that Merrill said that Dataquest said sales were up 3% in 1998. I mentioned the report as wrong at 1% and you and Chuzz jumped on it like jerks. Both the original Dataquest statement and the Merrill statement said 1% and Reuters mangled it in the translation. Of course, Dataquest has now been proven wrong and PC sales were indeed down in 1998.

BTW, if you are so enamored of indexing, why do you waste time posting on SI? This isn't a knock on you, but a serious question. Since indexing means you don't have to think, why mess around talking with folks who are trying to either beat the market's performance or lower the market's risk?
