My long distance service is now up and running.

To their credit Qwest responded to my email before I first logged on this morning. The email said that PacBell had a major outage and that Qwest was not given a time frame for the resolution.

It is strange that in my 3 calls to PacBel repair service never did the person I was speaking with ever mention a major outage.

evidence?!? :-)

i thought you were saying that QWST, being a "young" company, might overlook or underestimate the importance of the interconnect agreements.

i meant to suggest that LCI, an older and maybe wiser IXC, might well have had such agreements in place and QWST could've/should've absorbed and continued the practice after the merger.
