JJsirius, it was on Russian TV news. You can see it in English on CSPAN. Exercises included launch of ballistic missile from submarine (North Fleet), North and Pacific Feet exercises, air defense systems exercises near Baltic, paratroopers, all kinds of aircraft exercises, ground forces. Military now is paid in full, ships, planes, ground forces have enough fuel and ammo to act. At list Russian TV claims it. Quite a few officers including some generals want to sign up as volunteers to help Serbia. Generals would like to do something not only because Serbs are “Slavic brothers” and because next target could be Russia, but also because they would like to increase their influence, get more money in defense spending and finally get some respect from the people. May be they also would like to take revenge for including Poland, Hungary and others in NATO and in effect increasing threat to Russia. They also oppose new US SDI initiative, which now undermines all missile ballistic treaties. May be it is a black mail to get more money from the West (to pay back loans to western bankers :-). I have no idea. Everything is possible. Speaking about propaganda. Their news from Kosovo is complete opposite of ours. Government news sounds anti-American like in old days.
