I have been using the IPOAlertCenter.com Alert system and so far they have alerted me the ZDNet and Value America through my Cell phone. Although I didn't get in ZDNet, (I got in ZDNEt 15 mins after it opened at etrade site, but I guess Etrade does not have too much allocations), but my hope is on Value America. ( I got in that one early). I have contacted the tech at IPOAlertcenter.com, and they told me they are still testing the market. Right now, no one is required to pay for any alerts. And he didn't tell me about the future plan. Also the timing of the alerts also depend on your Phone and beeper vendor. The tech told me that One of the user received the alerts in 2 mins using AT&T phone. and another used Sprint PCS received the same meesage after an hour. All the message was sent out in the same time. Just my 2 cents
