OT re. KOSOVO i don't think the idea to relieve the u.s. labor shortage by means of importing refugees from kosovo is practical. the reason for this is that the main shortage is in highly skilled jobs (e.g. programmers), and education in kosovo was characterized by grave disruptions in recent years due to serb oppression. unskilled labor is entering the u.s. in droves anyway, via the mexican border. read my next post on kosovo if you have further interest in the subject.
