I think that there is a degree of anxiety over anything in Africa these days. In SOuth Africa, Nelson Mandela is stepping down and they are having elections right now. There may be a perceived leadership vacuum for a while.
Some folks are aware that SUF is still working in Angola and worry about that but in my opinion the Angolan assets were never factored into the share price.
THere is still some negative perception hanging around from the struggle with DEBEERS over the Marsfontein property.
Half of the assets are in S.A. and half in Canada. Sometimes folks are only comforatble with what they can reach out and touch.
Some were expecting more on the net earnings in the quicky annual report. M1 production only started in September and SUF has to wait about two months to get cash from DEBEERS for production so some were disappointed.
When the full report is out and people have a chance to digest it along with the rest of the recent news I think we will see the share price change. The diamond market has been improving in recent months as well, which should mean higher prices and more profits.
There should be a steady flow of good exploration news and increasing profits over the next while.
That is why I see this a great buying opportunity.
