OFF TOPIC > > Yes, it looks like some Motley Fools branched off and tried to make a name for themselves by copying Motley Fools trademark annual April Fools Day gag. Looks like they even hacked out a webpage. The webpage mentions some FunPhone company is "affiliated" as you say.

Thanks for your quote, "half of everything said in jest is actually meant." I agree totally that many persons hide behind humor as a means to make subtle offensive statements to and about whom they speak. That quote also helps explain part of my philosophy on "humor" . . regarding "luagh ats." . . .thanks for the assist.

Whoever the hacks were that perpetrated this gag, apparently they see themselves as BETTER than the Silicon Investor regulars.. And rather than come here and play a quick gag and leave, they insist on hanging out here and provoking others.

It is unfortunate that so many have not seen the "humor" or "art" that they tried to express. Message 8695009 Like I have said before here, I have never related to Frat Brats or their gags. Now others are getting upset for their refusing to stop.

Interestingly, the root of the word 'sarcasm' means literally, the tearing of flesh.

As for Tastes Like Chicken or Randall Frankle, I have never heard of either until this weekend.

Be sure to hit your stop button when you access profiles, or you may be forced to look at trite clip art, etc.

Anyway, thanks for trying to help. It is sort of hilarious. I mean it is now APRIL FOURTH, for goodness sake. Do they not have a life?
Are they going to keep telling this April Fools day joke throughout the summer?

Or could it be that the gag is REALLY subtle? In the name of an April Fools gag, a group of teenagers collect 4,000 email addresses of "experienced investors responding to get-rich quick schemes." I could name some Direct Marketing firms that would pay many thousands of dollars for such a fresh direct-email list. . .especially with that in-demand target demographic.
