Bernard, your statement: "In fact, to a large extent, the future of satellite
telecommunications rests on G*'s fate." rather smartly raps the nail on the head. My first reaction was that it was too dramatic. On further reflection, I couldn't figure out what constellation would be left to carry the satellite telephony spear if G* didn't!
Rather an awesome responsibility for a little company that, as poster RMiethe pointed out, had 7 employees as recently as 1996 wouldn't you say? The upcoming launches carry awesome implications as G* profitability will indeed skyrocket [heh, heh, heh]if they have the field to themselves for the intermediate future. Nothing like a little monopoly to boost margins I've always said. Best, Mike Doyle
