The AH-64 (Apache) was originally manufactured by McDonnell Douglas. McDonnell Douglas was bought out by Boeing in August 97, so the Apache is now manufactured by Boeing.

Without going into details, the newest incarnation of the Apache, the AH-64D Longbow Apache, has some new capabilities that may just cause a bit of consternation amongst Serbian anti-aircraft units and armored elements. Two squadrons of older less capable A models destroyed over 100 front line Iraqi tanks in less than two hours during one engagement of Desert Storm. All of the Apaches deployed in and around the Balkan theater are Long Bow versions.
